The most valuable AI work happens next to your most sensitive data: in clinics, plants, trading floors and stores. UnitedEdge® AI puts a private AI factory in a single 3U appliance at those sites, so the data stays put and the cost stays fixed.

AI is moving to where your data lives

The first wave of enterprise AI ran in someone else’s cloud. That worked for drafting emails. It does not work for summarizing a patient’s discharge notes, inspecting parts on a production line or reviewing a client contract.
Those are the jobs where AI pays off most, and they share one thing: the data cannot leave the building.

Three things stand in the way

  • Data can’t leave. Patient records, plant telemetry, trading data and intellectual property are bound by regulation and contract to stay on site. Public AI services are off the table.
  • API bills never stop. Per-token pricing grows with every new use case. The more value AI creates, the more it costs, and nothing is ever owned.
  • No one on site to run it. Branches, plants and clinics have no AI or infrastructure team. Whatever goes there has to run unattended and be fixed remotely.
What these sites need is a private AI factory small enough for the edge, and autonomous enough to run itself.

Meet UnitedEdge® AI

UnitedEdge® AI is one 19-inch, 3U appliance that brings three clouds to your site:
  • Private AI. Frontier and open models run on 1 TB of AI memory, served as private endpoints your apps already know how to call. Two frontier models plus many smaller ones fit at once.
  • Your applications, next to the data. Virtual machines, Kubernetes and serverless functions run on 64 cores and 1 TB of memory, so older servers can retire into the same box.
  • Networking built in. Virtual firewalls, load balancers and routers, separated per business unit.
You choose models from a curated catalog of open models from US, EU and Chinese publishers, each security-scanned and license-reviewed. Policy decides which ones each team may use, and deploying one takes a click.

One fixed price, unmetered tokens

UnitedEdge® AI is one monthly subscription for the appliance and the platform, with managed operations optional. There are no per-token or per-seat charges. As usage grows, the bill does not.
One fixed price
Sample figures from the UnitedEdge® AI value report · 6 months · not a quote
In this sample, the same AI workloads priced at public API list rates grew from about $61K to $163K a month in six months. The subscription stayed at $48K, so it broke even in the first month and every new use case after that adds value, not cost. The console reports this comparison every month, along with power and carbon for each site.

Built to run with no one on site

Inside the chassis everything is doubled: two AI Engines, two Compute Engines and two independent power feeds, running active-active. Lose a power feed, an engine or a network cable and service continues. Firewalls, load balancers and AI endpoints fail over in seconds.
The appliance also looks after itself:
  • One console for every site. UPC Vektor shows health, capacity, power and carbon for every appliance, and rolls out models and patches in waves that pause automatically on errors.
  • AI that fixes the AI factory. Built-in autonomous operations find and fix routine issues at each site, with people approving by policy. In customer deployments of UnitedLayer’s autonomous operations platform, 85% of L1/L2 incidents were closed by AI and issues were resolved 78% faster.
  • Lights-out by design. Remote console, remote power control and LTE backup mean a site visit is the exception, not the routine.

Where it pays off first

Industry First AI workloads Why at the edge
Healthcare Discharge-note summaries, call transcription Patient records cannot leave the clinic
Manufacturing Visual quality inspection, plant system consolidation Images and telemetry stay in the plant; the line cannot wait for a technician
Financial services Contract review, support copilots Client documents stay on site, with every action in one audit log
Retail and distribution Call transcription, staff copilots Hundreds of sites, almost no local IT, one cost for all
In every case, the appliance also absorbs the aging servers already at the site, so AI arrives with less hardware, not more.

Live at your first site in a single visit

  • Workshop. Pick two or three AI workloads and the servers to consolidate.
  • Pilot. One appliance at one site. It ships pre-imaged and tested, plugs in with two power cords and two network connections per side, and enrolls itself.
  • Scale. Add sites under one subscription and one set of policies, alongside the UPC AI Factory in your core.
Pick two workloads. We’ll bring the box.
