Healthcare: Clinical AI That Never Leaves the Clinic
A regional health network tested a public AI service to draft discharge summaries and transcribe patient calls — and the privacy office stopped the project in a week: not one prompt could leave the site. The network’s clinics also had no local IT and racks of aging virtual machines nobody could look after. UnitedEdge® AI brought the model to the data: the appliance arrived pre-imaged, enrolled itself, and served a private clinical-notes endpoint the same day, with prompts pinned to the site by tenant policy. Aging clinic VMs consolidated onto the Compute Engines. Notes that had been written at the end of every shift are now drafted by AI and reviewed by clinicians.
