UnitedLayer is seeking a motivated software professional to join our dedicated engineering team responsible for the design and development of a SaaS modelled cloud management and orchestration product. You will join a highly collaborative team working in a fast paced, geographically diverse environment to make an impact on the continuously evolving and competitive cloud ecosystem.

As a Director of Technical Operations in the cloud and managed service domain, you will be at the helm of our technical team, steering it towards our company’s mission by ensuring optimal performance of our technical operations. Your role is pivotal in planning and implementing new technology initiatives, managing existing systems, and leading our technical support staff. You will be the torchbearer of our network security and the key player in conducting technology upgrades across the organization. Your expertise will be crucial in managing global MPLS network providers and new installations and handling cloud-based, IAAS, or outsourced relationships related to business systems. Roles and Responsibilities

Overseeing all aspects of technical operations at their company or organization.
Managing technical support staff and ensuring that they have the tools they need to do their jobs efficiently.
Providing technical support to employees who are having difficulty using software or computer equipment.
Performing regular maintenance on computers or other electronic equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Planning, coordinating, and implementing technology upgrades across the organization.
Monitoring network security to ensure that it is functioning properly and to identify any security breaches.
Supporting new hires in becoming familiar with company systems and procedures.
Conducting initial interviews with candidates for open positions to assess their technical skills.
Directing the activities of technical support staff and troubleshooting problems.
Managing global MPLS network provider and new installations.
Managing cloud-based, IAAS, or outsourced relationships related to business systems.
Implementing and managing SAN storage system and other large storage volumes creation and maintenance.

Skills Requirement

Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
15+ years of experience in technical operations or a related role.
Extensive experience with cloud-based technologies.
Working knowledge of DevOps tools and methodologies.
Certification in project management (PMP)| Project Management.
Architecture, cloud & network Infrastructure.
Problem-Solving, time-management, business, organizational, analytical skills.
