Implementation Engineer

Experience Required : 8-10 years 

Job Description:

We are looking for an Implementation Engineer with an overall 8-10 years of experience but having a minimum experience as specified in the “Must have” attributes in specified areas below. This position is available in Toronto.  This person will play a key service delivery role for UnitedLayer operations, performing and managing the on-boarding, setup, and delivery of our cloud service to UnitedLayer customers. 

Must Have attributes:
  • 4+ years of experience implementing customers in a cloud or managed service environment, including infrastructure design and deployment, application setup and configuration, creation of runbooks and other handoff documentation, and project management and oversight.
  • 4+ years of experience working in customer facing datacenter and managed service or SaaS operations with SLA above 99.9%
  • 4+ years of experience working on virtualization technologies such as VMware, Red Hat and Oracle
  • 4 + years of experience with configuration & management/support of enterprise server tools such as  DNS, AD, Apache, Tomcat, IIS, .NET
  • 3+ years of experience with Windows and Linux OS Administration
  • 3+ years of experience with virtual desktop technologies such as Citrix or Horizon
  • 3+ years of experience on SAN technologies such as Nimble, EMC, and NetApp
  • 3+ years of experience with SNMP, TACACS+, SYSLOG and system monitoring tools
  • 3+ years providing on-call support to enterprise customers, applications, and infrastructures
  • Excellent customer facing skills in a service delivery environment
Nice to have attributes:
  • 2+ years as project manager using MS Project or similar tools
  • 2+ years writing and editing technical documentation
Qualifications include:
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
  • Excellent verbal and written and inter personal communication skills
  • Good troubleshooting skills and ability to identify and resolve problems quickly
  • Willingness to learn in a fast paced environment, self-motivated and attention to detail
  • Experience providing direct customer support
  • Detail-oriented and ability to meet deadlines, Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to use judgment to make good decisions
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
