Job Description

As an Accounts Manager, you will be a trusted advisor to clients, providing valuable guidance to optimize their services and beyond. You are passionate about engaging with customers and helping them grow their businesses. Working as part of a team, you will own the overall relationship within your client portfolio, including increasing service adoption, ensuring retention, satisfaction, and upselling various UnitedLayer services. You will develop long-term partnerships with customers, build expertise in their business, and help them succeed both in their use of UnitedLayer services and in their broader business goals. To thrive in this role, you must establish strong relationships with clients at various organizational levels and gain deep insights into their businesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the overall relationship with assigned clients, ensuring satisfaction, retention, and service expansion with UnitedLayer.
  • Establish a trusted, strategic advisor relationship with each assigned client and drive continued value from our products and services.
  • Collaborate with clients to establish critical goals or key performance indicators, aiding them in achieving their objectives.
  • Identify and develop upsell opportunities within existing customers.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of service opportunities within identified accounts.
  • Achieve aggressive sales quotas within assigned customers.
  • Advocate for customer needs and issues across departments, providing feedback for new service offerings.
  • Manage account escalations, ensuring resolution and future prevention.
  • Oversee customer contract renewals, addressing contract-related issues such as billing and overage charges.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and UnitedLayer teams, including Engineering, Technical Services, and Product, throughout the client lifecycle.
  • Maintain and expand knowledge of UnitedLayer solutions, keeping clients informed about new products and programs.
  • Update and manage Account Plans, Salesforce, and other client-specific information.
  • Attend pre-sale meetings and presentations as needed during the sales cycle.
  • Monitor customer key performance metrics and conduct regular reviews to help improve their performance.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Significant and recent experience selling IT consulting services within targeted enterprise accounts.
  • Strong background in technology-related positioning.
  • In-depth knowledge of selling strategies, proposal development, contracts, close plans, and statements of work for professional services.
  • Proven ability to develop executive-level relationships and strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Operational experience working with customers and support teams to resolve service issues.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (phone, email, presentation).
  • Experience guiding customers through the sales process, from pre-sale to post-sale.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Experience collaborating with Senior Management, Sales, Marketing, Development, and Technical teams.
  • Ability to explain and present technical concepts to non-technical customers.
  • Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Positive, enthusiastic, and self-motivated attitude with a drive to meet and exceed expectations.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to travel outside of India.
  • Availability for on-call duties outside of business hours.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
